KarJo — Afghan Job Aggregator
A multi-platform job search product built to solve a real gap: scattered, unreliable job listings across Afghanistan.
Problem
Job seekers in Afghanistan had to check multiple scattered sources — different websites, Facebook pages, and word of mouth — to find listings, with no single reliable place to search. Employers had no easy way to reach candidates directly.
Solution
Built a multi-platform job aggregator: a mobile app, a website, and a Telegram bot, all pulling listings from multiple sources into one searchable feed. Added employer accounts so companies can post and manage jobs directly, with an admin approval workflow. Built bilingual support (English/Dari) using Afghan-Dari terms specifically, not Iranian Persian, since Dari is the primary language for much of the target audience.
Technology
Flutter (mobile), Next.js (web), Supabase (auth, database, real-time notifications), Telegram Bot API via FastAPI backend, Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications, PostgreSQL with Row-Level Security.
Result
Live product with real users across mobile, web, and Telegram. Daily automated job digest delivered via push notification and Telegram broadcast. Employer posting pipeline with admin moderation now handles real job postings end to end, from submission to publish.
